Abstract
Numerous phenomena such as the habitude phenomenon suggest the fact that the nervous system processes stimuli according to the information brought by them. This paper describes an experiment which demonstrates that the more stimuli the nervous system processes, the less the information is acquired. The fact that the number of stimuli processed by the nervous system depends on the information carried and leads to the conclusion that, in fact, it does not process stimuli but rather information reflecting the newness of the environment which is absolutely necessary to him in the process of regulation of the organism in a very variable medium.
