Unusual Fusiform Cerebral Arterial Aneurysms

Pages 297-301 | Published online: 06 Jul 2009

Abstract

Two structurally similar fusiform aneurysms of the cerebral arteries of a 20-year-old male are described. They did not arise at points of arterial branching, and were not associated with atheroma or evidence of hypertension. Their aetiology is unknown, but they resembled cerebral arterial aneurysms that have been described in children, and it is possible that they are developmental vascular malformations.
