Influence of the Surface Tension in Serum and Urine on the Flame – Photometric Analysis

Abstract

The experiments show that the low surface tension that may occur in diluted icteric sera (probably also in specimens of urine) have no effect on the flame photometric analysis, whether or not this is carried out with internal standard. As pointed out before (Ryssing, 1952), for other reasons it is of advantage to use internal standard.
