An Improved Method for Iron Determination in Biological Material

Abstract

A combined combustion and analysis flask for determination of total iron in biological material is presented. The color complex has been produced by applying a modified Trinder method. The accuracy of the analytical procedure is illustrated by standard curves and recovery tests from serum and muscle samples.
