Pages 379-384 | Received 02 Nov 1966, Published online: 08 Jul 2009

Abstract

This is a report of some methodological studies on the enzymatic determination of blood sugar, in particular concerning the composition of the enzyme mixture, the non-specific oxidation, the precipitation media, the effect of added heparin, fluoride, and benzoic acid, and the glutathione problem. On the basis of the results, the author describes a procedure of enzymatic blood sugar determination which affords considerable accuracy.
