Abstract

Heiskanen, T., Krusius, F-E. & Salminen, S. Effect of Plasma Iodide Concentration upon Thyroidal Iodide Uptake. Scand. J. clin. Lab. Invest. 22, 147-150, 1968. The kinetics of thyroidal uptake of iodide were examined by determining the change of radio-iodide uptake after injection of two separate doses of stable iodide. Mathematical analysis of the data showed that the iodide influx was only slightly increased in relation to the increase of the plasma iodide concentration.
