Abstract

Carbamylated human transferrin is used as a reference in the Laurell crossed antigen-antibody electrophoresis. By repeated estimations of a serum over six months, the mean coefficient of variation for 17 serum proteins has been improved from 12.5% to 10.2%, using Carbamylated transferrin as a ref erence The greatest accuracy has been obtained for protein peaks with areas of 1 to 4 cm2.
