Abstract
The effect of angiotensin (AN) on the activity in a sympathetic nerve (left renal) was examined in 13 normal rabbits and 6 rabbits immunized with AN. AN evoked a non-rhythmical sympathetic activity in the normal rabbits, but in the immune rabbits changed neither blood pressure nor sympathetic activity. We conclude that the renovascular arterial hypertension produced in AN-immune rabbits (4, 5) was not due to a sympathetic stimulating effect of pressor doses of AN.
