Abstract

Male rats were killed at different intervals up to 18 months after partial hepatectomy and compared with nonoperated rats of the same age. No significant changes were observed during this period in body, liver or spleen weights, nor in liver nitrogen concentration or liver GOT and GPT activities. Serum albumin was reduced and β-globulin increased 12 months after the operation.
