Abstract
The anti-ulcerogenic effects of parasympatholytics (atropine, Isopropamide, Gastrixone) and of bilateral surgical vagotomy were examined biochemically in Shay rats. According to our biochemical-cellular-morphological explanation, the parasympatholytics inhibit the first phase of development of Shay ulcer, while in the surgical vagotomy inhibits the second phase in ulcer development.
