Abstract
The activity of gastric lipase was measured in gastric juice obtained from patients with duodenal ulcer before and after vagotomy following stimulation with 2-deoxy-D-glucose and insulin. The secretion of lipase was strongly stimulated by the two substances and suppressed as a result of vagotomy in the same fashion as the secretion of acid. It was found that the output of lipase and that of acid are positively correlated.
