Abstract

In a double-blind clinical trial comprising 82 patients with duodenal ulcer no significant difference in effect between metoclopramide, neostigmine, and placebo was seen on ‘net-passage’, symptoms of gastric retention, or the time of first defecation after pyloroplasty and truncal vagotomy.
