Effect of Omeprazole on Ulcer Healing and Pentagastrin Stimulated Acid Secretion During and After Treatment in Patients with Duodenal Ulcer

Abstract

Omeprazole, a substituted benzimidazole, has been shown to reduce intragastric acidity and to promote ulcer healing in doses of 20–60 mg once daily. The aims of the present study were to investigate ulcer healing after 4 weeks' treatment, and pentagastrin stimulated acid secretion during and after treatment.
