Diurnal Intragastric Acidity During Omeprazole Treatment in Patients with Peptic Ulcer Disease

Abstract

In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, the effect of omeprazole, 20 mg daily, on 24-hour intragastric acidity and serum gastrin levels was investigated. Studies were conducted during the eighth day of continuous treatment in 11 patients with peptic ulcer disease. Plasma concentrations of the drug were also analysed.
