Abstract
The substituted benzimidazole omeprazole, which is a potent proton pump inhibitor, has been shown to heal duodenal acidity very rapidly. This therapeutic efficacy is achieved by reduction of duodenal acidity and it is, therefore, interesting to study gastric and duodenal bulb pH during treatment with omeprazole.
