Abstract

Of 110 French troops who spent 4 months in Côte d'Ivoire in 2008, 12 (10.9%) experienced 14 malaria attacks after returning to France. An anonymous survey (response rate 39%) showed a high rate of poor compliance with chemoprophylaxis, including premature discontinuation after return in over half of the respondents.
