Abstract
Y-V plastic reconstruction of the bladder neck was performed in eight patients with bladder neck contracture secondary to prostaüc surgery and in one case with congenital contracture of the bladder neck. The technique is described. Excellent results were obtained in eight of the nine cases. The Y-V plastic operation is recommended when a second transurethral prostatic resection or repeated transurethral attempts to dilate the vesical neck fail to eliminate a contracture of this region secondary to prostatic surgery.
