Abstract
Sonocystography (SCG), a new method for determining approximate volumes of residual urine, is described. As designed at present, the method can demonstrate volumes of residual urine down to 50 ml in infants and 100 ml in adults. Possibilities for improving the accuracy of the method are discussed.
No side effects of SCG have been observed. The method is quick and simple, can be used repeatedly and is not dependent upon patient cooperation. SCG is suitable for both out-patient and in-patient practice.
