Abstract

A case of seminal vesicle cyst, ipsilateral dilated ureter and renal agenesis is reported. The findings during the operation revealed a probable ectopic termination of the ureter into the seminal vesicle cyst. This uro-genital malformation is explained as a developmental failure in the same mesodermal region. The importance of complete urological examination is stressed when an otherwise healthy, young man gets vague uro-genital symptoms. The incidental finding of renal agenesis also should lead to supplementary investigations, by which other uro-genital malformations may be found.
