Abstract

After intraperitoneal injection of 3-hydroxy-anthranilic acid (3H) into 35 rats with urinary bladder tumors, and 70 healthy rats, a considerable and characteristic radioactivity in the epithelium cells was shown, autoradiographically, to be located primarily in the upper cell layers of the bladder. The examinations seem to indicate that the activity is associated with the tryptophan metabolites which are eliminated with the urine.
