Abstract
Two patients with sarcoidosis developed hyper-calcemia and uremia. Treatment with cortisone led to remission. One of the patients developed signs of hyper-parathyroidism and his condition grew worse. Surgery to remove a parathyroid adenoma resulted in temporary remission while a long-lasting remission occurred when cortisone was again administered. The differential diagnostics and treatment of sarcoidosis with hypercalcemia and hy-perparathyroidism are summarized on the basis of these two cases and relevant literature.
