Abstract
A 24-year-old woman presented with recurrent right flank pain. Dilatation and tortuosity of the upper two-thirds of the right ureter were relieved by division of a fibrous sheath enclosing the ureter and ovarian vein from the iliac vessels upwards. The relationship between the dilated ovarian vein and the ureter was demonstrated preoperatively by the combination of retrograde pyelo-graphy and uterine phlehography.
