Abstract
A procedure for routine ultrasonic scanning in search for juxtarenal masses is described. Experience gained in the practical use of the method is communicated. It is concluded that juxtarenal masses such as adrenal tumours and other retroperitoneal tumours, abscesses and haematomas at a size of 3–4 cm or more are demonstrable ultra-sonically with a fair degree of accuracy.
