Abstract
429 patients suffering from carcinoma of the bladder have been subjected to radiotherapy with the linear accelerator, 6 MeV, in the Radium Centre, Copenhagen, during the period June 1968 to December 31 1970. The tumour dose given was 6000 rads in 5–6 weeks. The survival rates, the reactions from the bladder and bowel and the complications after the treatment are reported. The advantages of high energy therapy compared to the previous telecobalt therapy are discussed.
