Partial Hydronephrosis in a Patient with Horseshoe Kidney and Bilateral Duplication of the Pelvis and Ureter

Abstract

A case of the rare combination of horseshoe kidney, bilateral duplication of the pelvis and ureter, with stricture of one uretero-pelvic junction causing symptomatic hydronephrosis is reported. The patient was treated with resection ad modum Anderson-Hynes. The embryology, symptomatology and treatment of such anomalies is discussed.
