A 6 Kg Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma in a 42-Year-old Woman

Abstract

A large retroperitoneal liposarcoma (6 kg) is described in a 42-year-old woman. Retroperitoneal tumours are rare, produce nonspecific symptoms, and are often extensive when diagnosed.

The main treatment of these tumours is radical excision, but the tendency to local recurrence makes the prognosis poor.
