The Value of Personality Tests in Relation to Diagnostic Problems of Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Pages 73-77 | Published online: 12 Oct 2009

Abstract

Personality tests can be of considerable aid in the diagnosis of problem cases presenting at a neurootological clinic. The personality profile of a patient can influence the way in which he responds to certain questions, his overall approach to the test battery with which he is confronted, and his more specific reactions to threshold and suprathreshold tests.
