Abstract

A didactic approach to health education in medical education is greatly limited in scope. Furthermore, it is necessary for teachers to ensure that their own methods are seen to be consistent with those which they advocate for health education. This paper presents an example of a participatory teaching session for small groups, in the form of a board game. This is used to complement more conventional teaching approaches. The possibility of adapting the game for various student groups, and for different subjects, is raised.
