Summary
The technique of sterilisation by posterior colpotomy and partial salpingectomy is described. The operation was attempted in 121 cases and was successfully completed in 119 cases. The technique is simple, and postoperative complications are minimal. Long term follow up in 85 per cent of patients revealed two failures of sterilisation.
