Abstract
A simple method for antisperm antibody detection, which has a correlation coefficient of 0.88 with the Kibrick method and uses reduced quantities of sperm and macroscopic end-point detection, is described. Using this method, 12%-35% and 14%-18%, depending on the sperm donor, of infertile women and infertile men, respectively, had positive antibody titers while all children tested were negative. The dependence of the titer on the sperm donor was confirmed, indicating that titers should be expressed in terms of a internationally standardized antiserum.
