Abstract
Diplopia occurred in a patient who suffered peri-operative bilateral anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy. It is hypothesized that this occurred because of non-overlapping residual visual fields, as has been described in cases of bitemporal hemianopia. The symptom of diplopia resolved following some recovery of vision which resulted in a binocularly overlapping visual field region.
