Abstract
The usefulness of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging studies in pupil-sparing oculomotor nerve palsy due to midbrain infarction is illustrated in two interventional case reports. Two cases are presented illustrating the superior sensitivity of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging in detecting midbrain infarction in this clinical situation.
