Hemifacial atrophy: Systemic and ophthalmological anomalies; a review and a case report

Abstract

The case history of a 2-year-old girl with hemifacial atrophy since birth is described. There were multiple associated systemic anomalies such as hemiatrophy of the body, skeletal defects, colon agenesis and anus atresia. Ophthalmologically the girl showed a homolateral optic nerve hypoplasia. A review of the ophthalmological findings in hemifacial atrophy is given.
