Pages 285-290 | Accepted 07 Aug 1987, Published online: 08 Jul 2009

Abstract

Five case reports with ocular bobbing are presented in this paper, with post mortem examination in two. Ocular bobbing was 'typical' in three cases, atypical in one case and asymmetric in another one. The damaged common nervous structure in four cases was the pons. The authors suggest that both mesencephalic and medullary burst neurons centers would play a prevalent part in the supervening of ocular bobbing.
