Bitemporal hemianopic scotomas from intraventricular catheter: the ‘pinched-chiasm’ syndrome?

Abstract

A patient with reversible optic chiasm compression from an intraventricular catheter was eventually ascertained to harbor a nearby meningioma. The authors speculate that the chiasm may have been caught between the catheter tip and the tumor.
