A seminar training method in psychosexual medicine

Pages 32-34 | Published online: 07 Jul 2009

Abstract

The Institute of Psychosexual Medicine was formed when the Family Planning Association of Great Britain passed its administrative responsibility for this training to the doctors concerned. In-service seminar training in this approach has to date touched some 1000 doctors many of whom have qualified as competent to receive referrals from other practitioners and agencies. Accredited Seminar Leaders are available in most areas of the United Kingdom and may be provided by the Institute where 10–12 doctors can arrange to meet together for two hours fortnightly in academic terms. Applications from individual doctors or from administrators who wish to inaugurate such training should be addressed to the Director of Training of the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine, London.
