Abstract
Brown tumors appear in advanced stages of hyperparathiroidism. Only 17 cases have been documented in the orbit. We report a case of a young woman with a brown tumor in the orbital roof. Secondary hyperparathyroidism due to chronic renal disease was detected during the preoperative study. The pathogenesis, diagnosis and management of the brown tumor are discussed.
