An announcement (doi: 10.3109/02688697.2013.839898) was published in the October 2013 issue of the journal regarding three abstracts that were withdrawn from the meeting of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons, hosted by the Royal Hallamshire Hospital at Sheffield Hallam University in May 2013 and abstracted in the June 2013 edition of this journal. It has since been found that one of these abstracts was in fact presented and hence should not have been withdrawn from the publication.
The reinstated abstract is:

Birmingham Children's Hospital, Birmingham, UK
Br J Neurosurg 2013;27(3):289
Instead, the following abstract was not presented at the meeting. Since this item was withdrawn from the meeting, the journal regrets to inform the readership that it is also withdrawn from publication, and should therefore not be cited.
