Abstract
A complex interrelationship has long been known to exist between allergy of the respiratory tract and infection.1,2 Both processes, for example, are characterized by inflammation. Furthermore, respiratory tract infection commonly intensifies and prolongs symptoms of allergic disease. So it follows that measures effective against the former process should at the same time tend to relieve the latter.
