Food Allergy–Its Role in the Symptoms of Obstructive Emphysema And Chronic Bronchitis

Abstract

The relief of symptoms of obstructive emphysema in 60 patients for half to 4 years by control of food allergy and, less often, inhalant allergy, with minimal or no corticosteroids, confirms such relief in 20 patients reported in 1965.² The diagnosis was indicated by pulmonary function tests, lung scans, x-rays, clinical history and physical examination.
