Abstract
In a previous report1 evidence was presented to substantiate our views on the relationship of allergy and infection. This evidence was collected and categorized under thirteen headings. One heading (Item No. 12) included support from the medical literature. It is our contention that the majority of the reports of writers, many of whom are pioneers in the field of allergy and well qualified to present their opinions, support the concept of allergy and its relation to infection as we have presented it. In fact it is our belief that this concept reconciles many divergent views, unifies rather than displaces many current beliefs and hence furnishes a connecting link between many associated but apparently diverse phenomena.
