Non-Cardiogenic Pulmonary Oedema after Intravenous Administration of Non-Ionic Contrast Media

Abstract

A case of adverse respiratory reaction to the i.v. injection of iohexol (300 mg I/ml, 131 ml in 4 min) in association with abdominal CT is described.

The potentially pathogenetic mechanisms of pulmonary oedema induced by radiographic contrast media are discussed.
