Abstract

A successfully operated, three-germinal-layer, congenital teratoma of the right orbit is described. The tumour with the eye at its apex was removed on the twelfth day. Postoperative course was uneventful with rapid normalization of the orbito-palpebral region. At the age of five months a silastic ball was inserted in the eye-socket and tarsorrhaphy was performed.
