Abstract

Of a clinical series of 27 patients subjected to surgical and dental-orthopaedic correction because of maxillary protrusion or Angle Class II, division 1 malocclusion, 16 adult females were selected for the present review. The examination included standardized roentgen cephalometry, oral roentgenography, dental arch measurements, electrical stimulation test of the upper teeth, photographical records, oral inspection and assessment of the patient's opinion of the result. Following surgical and dental-orthopaedic correction the relationship between the teeth and between the lips was normal and remained so during a follow-up period of at least 14 months.
