Abstract
The connection between Dupuytren's contracture (DC) and epilepsy has been described in the literature since 1941. However, there has not been published a systematic study of the electroencephalogram (EEG) in patients with DC, so far. The present study of EEG in a series of 78 consecutive cases of DC—with no personal or familial history of epilepsy—treated in the Orthopaedic Hospital, Copenhagen, indicates that EEG abnormalities are more common in Dupuytren patients than in the older age group of the normal population.
