Abstract

During the period 1966-1969 the experimental ointment Aliderm LEO was tested in the Burns Unit, Kommunehospitalet, Copenhagen. It was used for a total of 61 patients in the after-treatment of healed burns. The results were analysed on the basis of the patients' subjective evaluation. It is concluded that Aliderm is a valuable remedy in this after-treatment, fulfilling the majority of the demands which must be made on such an ointment. Its effect upon itching is good, but not quite sufficient in all cases.
