Carpal-tunnel Syndrome Caused by An Abnormal Distribution of the Lumbrical Muscles

Pages 72-74 | Received 18 Dec 1969, Published online: 08 Jul 2009

Abstract

A case of carpal-tunnel syndrome caused by an abnormal distribution of the lumbrical muscles is described. Judging from the literature studied, this seems to be a very rare etiology. It is concluded that the use of a longitudinal skin incision is of great importance for the elucidation of the etiological causes of carpal-tunnel syndrome.
