Abstract
A 50-year-old woman, nearly blind of her right eye, was admitted with an extensive rodent ulcer involving the lateral canthus and the adjacent parts of the eyelids on the left side. The excision which was deemed necessary included the entire lower eyelid, the lateral canthus and almost one half of the upper eyelid. Millard's method for repair of extensive medial canthal defects was adapted to suit the region of the lateral canthus. The defect was covered by a forked flap from the lateral part of the forehead, lined on beforehand with buccal mucous membrane and based on the temporal vessels.
