Perfusion and Reimplantation of a Free Skin Flap in a Dog: A Preliminary Report

Abstract

This report describes perfusion and subsequent reimplantation of an isolated lower abdominal skin flap with an axial vascular pattern. Perfusion was maintained for 80 min at +8°C using a hemoglobin-free perfusate. Reimplantation was performed by microvascular anastomoses. Healing was complete.
