Radiology of the Asymmetrical Face

Pages 205-210 | Published online: 08 Jul 2009

Abstract

The classification proposed is one based on the radiological findings in various types of facial asymmetries, and is also functional to a large extent. Not all facial asymmetries are “cranioscoliosis” with a rotational distortion of the midline. Tumours have been excluded from the classification since they represent different reconstructive problems, depending on whether they are seen pre-or post-tumour removal.
